One of the two original Trunki cases, Terrance Trunki (or the blue one) has recently been updated for 2009, like the rest of the trunkie range of childrens luggage.

Yes kids can still ride on this little Terrance Trunki case, they can tow him behind them, carry him over their shoulder or simply sit on it and be towed along by mummy or daddy. But now this blue Trunki has 2 added handles on the top to make picking it up alot easier, it also now has 2 lockable catches to make it more secure. Internal straps to hold ted or anything else for that matter in place throughout your travels, there is now even an internal pouch and secret compartment.
Trunki cases are made from the same materials as adult cases and are extremely durable as you would expect from anything designed exclusively for kids, however, due to their size ( 46 x 20 x 30.5 cm) it is recommended that they are kept as part of your carry-on luggage and not sent through to the hold. Terrance Trunki is however, CE marked and meets with EN 71 safety standards.
Designed for children aged 3-6 Trunki cases are fantastic fun and really do make your life easier as children want to take ownership of their own stuff and seem to adore towing their great colourful character cases around the airport. Another big plus is that they always have somewhere to sit when your coach puts you at the end of that long package tour queue for check-in. I for one will be petitioning for Trunki to design a similar case for adults!

Tipu is the latest Trunki suitcase for kids. It is available as the 2009 limited edition trunkie and is definately not one to miss. Tipu Trunki is designed around a jungle theme and is the Tiger, bright orange with black stripes (as you would expect being designed round a Tiger!)

Tipu Trunki shares all the fantastic features the rest of the Trunki cases have and is a fantastic ride-on case for your children. So go on let out the Tiger in you!
Tipu has great specifications you would expect on any premium adult suitcase plus a few more such as:
- Teddy bear seat belts (internal straps)
- Bits & Bobs storage pocket
Tipu the tiger Trunki weighs in at 1.7kg when empty and has a capacity of 18 litres. As with all the Trunki range Tipu is the correct size to be taken on board any airline as hand luggage, which makes it great for the kids to keep all their favourite things in it and at hand throughout the journey. The dimensions are 46cm x 20cm x 32cm.
Trunki now also contain a secret compartment inside, an id label, internal pouch and two carry handles - add to this the fact that Tipu Trunki has been designed to be sat on, pulled along, riden on, tugged around and thrown over the shoulder, any self respecting child simply wouldn’t travel without one - and nor should you let them !!

Trunki has become the market leader in childrens luggage and a leading name in case manufacturing since it was dreamed up by Robert Law back in 1997.
The idea came from trying to keep children entertained when travelling aboard limiting the number of tears and tantrums, especially in confined places with little or no entertainment for little people ie the airport. What could be better than a small suitcase which the children can take complete ownership of and keep their favourite things with them when travelling.

When they are not playing with their toys they are stored in the Trunki which itself then becomes a toy. Trunki is designed to be pulled along like any wheeled toy, Trunki cases are made of stern stuff and are also designed to be ride on. With four sturdy wheels at each corner trunki and a ’saddle’ style seat on the top your child can either be towed along by you or push themselves along. Since being rejected by the Dragons on Dragons Den, Trunki has gone from strength to strength and now have five different designs to choose from.

The original Trunki editions Terrance Trunki and Trixie Trunki have been updated for 2009 in fact all the Trunki editions (Twogo Trunki, Frieda Trunki and the new Tipu Trunki) have been updated this year. All now have carry handles as well as the shoulder strap, secret compartments, teddy bear seat belts and locking catches.
Trunki is a fantastic product, and being a father of 2 children who both have a trunki, I can tell you that they are well worth every penny and as a family wil not be travelling without them.
So come on and join the craze, the hardest decision is deciding which Trunki you want, the 2008 edition Frieda is a definate favourite in our house.
Wow, Tipu Trunki is selling very well indeed, released in March 2009, sales are well ahead of expectations - be sure to grab yours well before you take the kids away, otherwise you and they may well be disappointed !!
